Douglas 0-46
This one is a little unusual. This is my Douglas O-46 observation aircraft, from the US Army, 1936-1940. It has a 110" wingspan, weighs 25#, which is a very low wing loading, and it flies very smoothly and slowly.
The engine is a ST2300, turning an 18-10 propeller about 7200 static RPM, which is just right for the airplane.
I also produce a semi-kit of the airplane, with molded fiberglass parts, canopy, laser cut parts, etc. The kit and parts pricing can be seen on my web site. There are some in flight photos, too.
An entire building thread showing the construction is available at rcscalebuilder.com, listed under Vanguard Plans in the designers forum.
