How the Raffle Works
This will be a different kind of raffle. Actually, there will be two (2) different raffles in one -- one will be for a Top Gun package for two, and one will be for models and modeling supplies. We think it will be fun and worth the complexity.
Tickets will be sold at the WRAM show, the Toledo Show, Top Gun, the Mint Julep, and perhaps at other events through May. The winning tickets will be drawn by __________. Winners will be notified by telephone. The first drawing (for Top Gun package) will be on March 31 and the second drawing (for the remaining prizes) will be on May 31. The first name drawn will get to choose from the entire prize list. The second name drawn will choose from the remaining prizes. This process will continue until all prizes have been awarded.
At the time of notification, the winners will be informed of their initial rank (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.). If there is no answer after the second call, then the next person in order will take the slot.
Each winner will receive a validated Gift Certificate by snail mail. They then will, in turn, forward their certificate to the respective donor for redemption.
While this process will take a little while; possibly as long as a couple of weeks, I haven't come up with a better way for each person to get a prize that he has personally selected rather than a "surprize" package that they have no use for.
