Jack Buckley (F4C)

Jack is the past 2 time FAI U.S. National Champion. He has competed in the US Scale Masters, and Top Gun. He is also a Contest Director, a member of the AMA Scale Team Selection Committee for Dist. 1, and has a Turbine Waiver. Jack works for the Dept of Defense as an Army Civilian. For the past 39 years he has been doing R&D in the field of parachutes, equipment, and UAV’s as a designer, test pilot, and acceptance pilot with over 5,000 hours of flight time. He also holds an FAA Master Riggers License.
Jack’s model is a ¼ Scale DH82-a Tiger Moth built from Duncan Hutson plans and kit parts, then modified to reflect the prototype. It is constructed of wood, fiberglass, carbon fiber, and Kevlar, covered with Stitts Poly Fiber fabric and finished with the Stitts paint system. The plane weighs 19 ½ lbs and is powered with a Laser 150 engine. Guidance is by a Futaba 9C on 2.4 GHz. This is one gorgeous airplane!
